J. H. KLEINFELDER & ASSOCIATES File No. S-2599-1
March 3, 1983
Page 10
After filling with a clean gravel, the trench should be capped with at least 12
inches of relatively impervious native soil. This material should be approved by the
project soils engineer. Twelve inches below the surface of .the gravel-filled systems, a
4-inch-diameter perforated pipe shall be installed and shall run the full length of the
trench.
A vertical vent pipe should be provided at each end of the line. Each vent pipe
should have a metal hood. The specific location of the venting system will depend on
the building location on Lot 1, and on the lateral extent of the high-organic fill.
Since these specific locations cannot be accurately located at this time, final
determination will be made when the final construction details are available.
Additional specific information, as it pertains to gas venting systems, will be provided
at a later time when these additional details are available. This will ensure adequate
gas venting that is compatible with the building site.
ADDITIONAL SERVICES
This report completes our present scope of work on this project.
