Section Ave, Stockton
APN 173-09-033, SR0082931
The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) has reviewed the Soil Suitability/Nitrate
Loading (SSNL) Study, dated November 20, 2020 and submitted on November 25, 2020 for the above noted
location, and has the following comments for your consideration.
The SSNL was prepared to determine the suitability of the above noted parcel for onsite wastewater treatment
system (OWTS) usage and the potential long-term impact of nitrate to groundwater for the following proposed
project.
1. A four-bedroom dwelling.
Based on the information provided, the EHD can make the following findings:
1. According to the SSNL, the estimated nitrate loading from existing and proposed OWTS usage is
15.91 mg/L as nitrate-nitrogen and the maximum contaminant level of 10 mg/L-N. EHD will require the
mitigation of nitrate-nitrogen through an engineered Onsite Wastewater Treatment System.
2. A Registered Civil Engineer shall submit complete engineering design plan to EHD for approval prior
to issuance of building permit. Fee will be based on the current fee schedule at time of payment.
3. The existing private water well shall be tested for the chemical Dibromochloropropane (DBCP) with
the results submitted to the Environmental Health Department prior to issuance of building permit(s).
Samples are to be taken by a third party and analyzed by a State-approved laboratory (San Joaquin
County Development Title, Section 9-1115.7).
If you have any questions please contact Naseem Ahmed, Senior Registered Environmental Health
Specialist, at nahmed@sjgov.org or (209) 616-3018.
6YLi
Muniappa Naldu, REHS
Assistant Director
c: AdvancedGeo
1868 E.
