r' ' !Message Page 1 of 2
Natalia Subbotnikova [EH]
From: Robert McClellon [EH]
Sent: Thursday, March 08, 2012 2:56 PM
To: 'Ambrose, Sabra'
Cc: Natalia Subbotnikova [EH]
Subject: RE: Disposal of IDW
Sabra, they should sample the waste in the drums. That will allow us to determine final deposition (Cl, CII, CIII) of
the waste. I am not sure that I will be able to arrange disposal for no cost. It would depend on where the waste
would need to go. Robert
From: Ambrose, Sabra [mailto:Sabra.Ambrose@CalRecycle.ca.gov]
Sent: Thursday, March 08, 2012 1:56 PM
To: 'Beth Abramson-Beck'; Plantz, Dawn; Robert McClellon [EH]; Natalia Subbotnikova [EH]
Cc: Young, Glenn
Subject: RE: Disposal of IDW
Good afternoon,
The City of Lodi is addressing the homeless issue.
I'm flexible regarding the disposal of the drums. We can talk tomorrow or on Monday.
Robert,what is your preference?
Thank you.
Sabra
From: Beth Abramson-Beck[ma ilto.babramsonbeck@ninyoandmoore.com]
Sent: Thursday, March 08, 2012 12:15 PM
To: Ambrose, Sabra; Plantz, Dawn
Cc: Young, Glenn; Botan, Mustafe
Subject: Disposal of IDW
Hello everyone,
Dawn contacted me concerning disposal of IDW.
For the trench excavations, the excavated materials will be placed back into the excavations in the
approximate reverse order they were removed.
For the LFG wells, Woodward is providing 55-gallon drums and we plan to separate the drill cuttings of
"clean"wells outside wastes versus those in wastes.
Woodward has equipment to move the drums to a secured on site location (within the landfill under locked
gate). As previously discussed, there are homeless people at the site, but they do not have a means to
open the drums.
As Dawn and I have done on some previous projects, the City and/or LEA has been helpful and able to
arrange for waste disposal (e.g., no tipping fees)at a local landfill providing it meets waste criteria
acceptance. 1 suspect some of the wastes, if burned, will likely have elevated metals. Wastes may or may
not be able to go to one facility.
3/8/2012
