Foundations shall be finalized as soon as possible following site preparation <br />and grading activities to reduce fugitive dust from earth-moving operations. <br />c. Grading areas shall be stabilized as quickly as possible to minimize fugitive dust. <br />d. Chemical stabilizer shall be applied, a gravel pad shall be installed, or the last 100 feet of <br />internal travel path within the construction site shall be paved prior to public road entry. <br />e. Wheel washers, grates, rock, or road washers shall be installed adjacent to the site access <br />points for tire inspection and washing prior to vehicle entry on public roads. <br />f. Visible track-out into traveled public streets shall be removed with the use of sweepers, water <br />trucks, or similar method within 30 minutes of occurrence. <br />g. Perimeter erosion control shall be provided to prevent washout of silty material onto public <br />roads. Unpaved construction site egress points shall be graveled to prevent track-out. <br />h. The construction access point shall be wet-washed at the end of the workday if any vehicle <br />travel on unpaved surfaces has occurred. <br />i. Haul trucks shall be covered or at least 2 feet of freeboard shall be maintained to reduce blow- <br />off during hauling. <br />j. On-site stockpiles of excavated material shall be covered. <br />k. A 15 mile per hour speed limit on unpaved surfaces shall be enforced. <br />l. Construction traffic control plans shall route delivery and haul trucks required during <br />construction away from sensitive receptor locations and congested intersections to the extent <br />feasible. Construction traffic control plans shall be finalized and approved prior to issuance of <br />grading permits. <br />PDF-AQ-2 The Project applicant or its designee shall provide to all Project construction employees the fact <br />sheet entitled “Preventing Work-Related Coccidioidomycosis (Valley Fever)” by the California <br />Department of Public Health and ensure all employees are aware of the potential risks the site <br />poses. The Project applicant or its designee shall inform all Project construction employees of all <br />occupational responsibilities and requirements contained in these measures to reduce potential <br />exposure to Coccidioides spores. <br /> The training shall include all the following topics: <br />a. What Valley Fever is and how it is contracted. <br />b. High-risk areas and types of work and environmental conditions during which the risk of <br />contracting Valley Fever is highest. <br />c. Personal risk factors that may create a higher risk for some individuals. <br />d. Personal and environmental exposure prevention methods. <br />e. Importance of early detection, diagnosis, and treatment. <br />f. Recognizing common signs and symptoms of Valley Fever. <br />g. Importance of reporting symptoms to the employer and seeking medical attention. <br />h. Common treatment and prognosis for Valley Fever.
