In conformance <br /> with these regulations, a Load Checking Program is in effect at both the North County Recycling <br /> Center and Sanitary Landfill, and the Lovelace Materials Recovery Facility and Transfer Station <br /> for detection of wastes which are prohibited. The following elements of the program have been <br /> initiated at the site: <br /> • Wastes which are prohibited are the following: <br /> o Regulated hazardous wastes. <br /> o Chemicals or chemical sludges which are toxic, corrosive, an irritant, or a strong <br /> sensitizer. <br /> o Drugs. <br /> o Polychlorinated biphenyl (PCB). <br /> o Infectious wastes. <br /> o Radioactive wastes. <br /> o Flammables or explosives. <br /> o Free liquids, including liquid residues in containers or cans which are greater than <br /> one gallon in volume. <br />
