The EHD conducted a complaint inspection at your facility on March 20, 2003 and <br /> observed that Roos Ranches is utilizing roll-off trucks and bins to collect commercial/industrial <br /> waste from local agricultural businesses. The .caste is then transported to the Lovelace Transfer <br /> Station in Manteca. <br /> This is in violation of San Joaquin County Ordinance Code, Chapter 2, Section 5-2202 (b). This <br /> section requires that all persons desiring to collect or transport commercial or industrial solid <br /> waste shall possess a current valid County business license and also a valid <br /> Coni;nercial/Industrial Solid Waste Collection License. <br /> The o0eration and design of solid waste vehicles must also comply with San Joaquin County <br /> Ordinance Code, Chapter 4, Sections 5-2500—5-2503. <br /> The EHD directs you to immediately discontinue collection and transportation of solid waste and <br /> make application to the San Joaquin County Department of Public Works, Solid Waste Division, <br /> prior to resuming collection and transportation of solid waste within San Joaquin County. <br /> Failure to abide by this directive may result in further legal action.
