San Joaquin Street
Stockton, Ca. 95201
Re: City Landfill Site
Temporary Yard Waste Storage
Dear Carol,
I apologize about the delay in getting this letter out to you. I have contacted
Gilton Solid Waste Management, Inc. for assistance with this matter. They have two
methods of disposal for the yard wastes; (1) grind and compost, (2) take to an
incinerator for use as fuel. Next week they will remove approximately six (6) truck
loads and take it back to their facility for segregation in order to determine how much
dirt and non-yard waste material is in the pile. Based on the results, determination
whether they are able to use the material for fuel or for compost will be made. Once
the decision is made regarding disposal, they will require about two (2) weeks to
remove the yard wastes from the old land fill site.
In the future the City will arrange to remove the material on an annual basis.
If you have any questions or need additional information, please call.
Respectfully,
City of Ripon
rD., /
Da mey
City E ineer/
Director of Public Works
cc: City Council Members
Leon Compton - City Administrator
Ted Johnston - Public Works Supervisor
Richard Gilton - Gilton Solid Waste Management, Inc.
land(ill.ozl
