Exhibit A: This is a portion of the recent base map showing the <br />location of water on the subject area. It was overlaid with an aerial <br />photograph from 1963 which precedes the permit application in 1966. <br />The photo from 1963 for this exhibit shows a tracing of two ponds and <br />a tree lined area surrounding the ponds. <br />Wong Engineers, Inc. reviewed the 1966 application and later <br />documents. A letter dated October 14, 1977 from the applicant Mr. <br />George B. Raab, the engineer at the time, states that the glass was <br />being deposited in an "irregular-shaped hole," and he estimated the <br />disposal area to be approximately 15 acres. We assumed the tree -line <br />area in the 1963 photograph to be part of the "hole" referenced in Mr. <br />Raab's 1977 letter. <br />We superimposed these tracings over the base map to get an idea of <br />scale and location. According to our rough calculations, the irregular- <br />shaped hole is approximately 6.7 acres, much less than the 15 acres <br />mentioned in Mr. Raab's letter. <br />IN <br />
