(CES) was retained by American Tire & Truck Repair to assess one above ground storage tank (AST) containing used coolant (aka anti-freeze) at your facility located at 8288 El Dorado St., French Camp, California. The AST has a volume of 130 gallons and is stored in a metal shed used for truck maintenance and oil changes. An inspection of the AST was conducted by Raman Patel, P.E. of RP Associates Inc. on August 4, 2021. The purpose of the inspection was to assess the current physical condition of the AST system and to gather information required for a Hazardous Waste Tank Assessment(Assessment) pursuant to 22 CCR §66265.192(k). For ease of review,the Assessment is organized in the same order as the checklist provided in 22CCR §66265.192(k). • Tank description, configuration, and gross capacity 122 CCR§66265.192(k)(1)}: The AST is a shop-fabricated horizontal cylindrical type tank manufactured by Woolsey Oil, Inc. (predecessor company of Valley Pacific Petroleum Services, Inc. of Stockton, CA.) The double -wall steel AST has a capacity of approximately 130-gallons. The tank dimensions are provided in drawing provided in Attachment A. The tank is located within a metal shed used to service semi-trucks. • Design standard if available to which tank and ancillary equipment was designed {22 CCR §66265.192(k)(2)) The AST is constructed and listed in accordance with Underwriters Laboratories, Inc. 550 UL 142 utilizing steel inner and outer tanks. • Material of construction f2 CCR §66265.192(k)(2)(a)} Primary and secondary tanks are constructed of steel. • Material thickness and method used to determine thickness f2 CCR§66265.192(k)(2)(b)} Primary and secondary tanks are 10 gauge (0.1345 inches). • Description of tank system piping(material, diameter) 122 CCR §66265.192(k)(2)(c)): The tank is filled through a 2" fill port on the top right corner of the tank.
