The other buckets were not hazardous waste.
2) Of the eight buckets, 2 contained oily water and dirt, one had gasoline, and one was diesel. The drain
pan was poured into one of the oil buckets listed and was disposed of. The four other buckets did not
have hazardous waste.
3) The bucket in the back of the yard was not hazardous material.
4) It was unknown what was all in the containers so they were deemed hazardous and dumped in the
55gal. drum and disposed of.

Paper and metal filters were taken in at the same time.

Thanks and I hope this is helpful.

On Wed, Mar 10, 2021 at 7:48 AM Alaniz, John [EHD] <jalaniz1@sjgov.org> wrote:
Hi Bob,
I apologize for the late reply.

For violation 102, do you know what the non-hazardous waste items were?
The items listed in the violation are:
1) Near the hazardous waste storage area, eleven 5 gallon plastic buckets contained saturated dirt. One of the
buckets was labeled “Hazardous Waste.” Were these considered hazardous waste?

2) Near the entrance to the backyard, eight 5 gallon plastic buckets contained an unknown material.
