QUEST INDUSTRIES LLC,2518 E BOEING WAY, CERS ID: 10184627, PR0538472 <br /> Corrective Action Statements <br /> RE: November 04,2020 Hazardous Waste inspection report <br /> The facility is phasing out its use of 55-gallon drums for hazardous material storage and replacing them <br /> with plastic totes and lined cardboard containers provided by Clean Harbors(photos attached).Liquid paint <br /> waste totes and solid paint waste cardboard boxes will be closed when not adding or removing waste. <br /> Containers which have been altered have been cut up and disposed of in the solid paint waste containers. <br /> Existing containers have been provided with adequate lids before drums are full (i.e. gasket and locking <br /> drum funnels on closed-head containers,latching drum lids on open-head containers)and after drums have <br /> been filled(nut and bolt)to provide secure closure. <br /> Violation 501-Failed to completely label stationary hazardous waste tanks <br /> ❑ Corrected <br /> ❑ Violation Corrected by: <br /> 0 Supporting Documents Included(analytical results) <br /> Corrective Action:Wash water waste was sampled by Clean Harbors on June 23,2020.Attached analytical <br /> results supported a non-hazardous waste determination. Quest asserts that non-hazardous wastewater was <br /> treated onsite.As a precaution,Quest halted operation of the evaporator as of November 4,2020,to further <br /> investigate the process. If characterization at the point of waste generation results in a hazardous waste <br /> determination, Quest will obtain permit coverage prior to starting operation of the evaporator unit and will <br /> include the required labels. <br /> Violation 502-Failed to comply with new hazardous waste tank system assessment requirements <br /> ❑ Corrected <br /> ❑ Violation Corrected by: <br /> 0 Supporting Documents Included(analytical results) <br /> Corrective Action:Wash water waste was sampled by Clean Harbors on June 23,2020.Attached analytical <br /> results supported a non-hazardous waste determination.
