[EHD] <emanzo@sigov.org>; Baker, Lydia [EHD] <Ibaker@sigov.org>; Jim <br />Kavanaugh <iimk@fglinc.com> <br />Subject: RE: MFS Stockton - Waste Analysis Plan <br />Hi Scott, <br />The methods used to determine your facility's compliance with the City of Stockton Water discharge permit in <br />accordance with 40 CFR 136 may not include all of the requirements for making a hazardous waste determination per <br />California hazardous waste regulations, Title 22. <br />California hazardous waste regulations, Title 22, section 66261.24(a)(2)(A) lists the metal (commonly known as CAM -17 <br />metals) and fluoride substances that must be included in the analysis and lists the hazardous waste regulatory levels for <br />each of these substances. Per Title 22 section 66261.(a)(2) and Chapter 11 Appendix II and III, appropriate analytical <br />procedures to determine whether a sample contains a given toxic constituent are specified in Chapter Two, "Choosing <br />the Correct Procedure" found in "Test Methods for Evaluating Solid Waste, Physical/Chemical Methods," EPA Publication <br />SW -846, Third Edition and Updates. <br />Chapter Two of SW -846 and a table with a listing of all SW -846 Test Method documents can be found here: <br />https://www.epa.gov/hw-sw846/basic-information-about-how-use-sw-846#UseWhich <br />Thank you, <br />
