9. AST will withstand frost-heave XXYes No AST is located in secured lubricants berm not subiect to
weather conditions
` 10. AST previously relocated? Yes XX No
11. AST Corrosion Protection_Tank is covered in paint, with no evidence of external corrosion. Tank has.
no specific corrosion protection beyond the paint. No part of the AST touches the ground. The base of the
AST is steel raised 1 %Z inches from the concrete pad. There is no evidence of internal corrosion takin
lace. Tank's construction material is carbon steel. As this tank is not in any contact with the ground, there
is no need for further corrosion protection such as cathodic corrosion protection.
12. AST Spill Prevention Equipment(describe,) None-recommend/not req'd---Kreuger gauge
Filling is a remote operation & product is not handled outside of the intended containers. Tank has integral
secondary containment. Pump has a check valve to prevent siphoning from tank back thru pick up hoses.
Tank has continuous electronic monitoring with a BJ Enterprises Sentry siren alarm, which actuates at 90%
capacity. Fillin operations consist of utilizing a portable coolant exchange Uump which delivers product to
the temporary 55 gal. poly drum and is pumped to the waste coolant tank via the ARO pump on the top of the
tank. The system has a pneumatic auto shut down device which is an FMM Services hiiih level shut down.
System has manual ball valve shut down at the pump. Spill Prevention Sensor was removed and inspected
and operated. The sensor float was measured and it was determined that the tank strobe alarm actuates at
90%of tank capacity and the auto shut down device actuates at 95%of capacity at which time it shuts down
pumpin,,operations of the pump itself.
13. Overfill Protection: (describe) Manual Fill does not require shut-off valve.
14. Toxic ConsiderationsIthylene and propylene glycol are toxic by ingestion. Many of the corrosion and
antifoaminginhibitors added to antifreeze are also toxic. Propvlene glycol is also toxic and combustible and
can react with other chemicals. It requiresproper storage and handling. Both ethylene and Propylene alycoI
are water soluble. Improper disposal results in thecontamination of drinkine water, roundwater and land
surfaces. Antifreeze is toxic to humans and animals.Waste antifreeze contains heavy metals such as lead,
cadmium and chromium in hi2h enough levels to]2otentiaHl make it a re ulated hazardous waste so mast
states strictly regulate antifreeze disposal.Antifreeze generators and state and local programs should not
[lump spent antifreeze on land or discharge it into a sanitar,Lsewer,_storm drain, ditch dry well,or septic
system; dumping antifreeze can cause serious water quality problems and might harm people, pets,or
wildlife. The short term storage of waste antifreeze is only accentab_1_e assn interim measure to permit time for
the collection of sufficient volumes for cost effective transport to a recycling or disposal facility.
15. AST secondary containment(material/design/listed) AST has integral secondary containment via double_
wall construction to completely capture any leaks from primary vessel. Integral secondary containment was
tested, is intact and AST is suitable for continued usage. AST sits within a locked lubricants room within a
concrete berm structure. Leak detection is visually ascertained via visual inspection of secondary
containment area which was fully inspected and found to be free from any li uids. If Berm is utilized as
secondary containment,dimensions follow: W 222 `;x L 471 "x Ht 48 "xthickness 6 "-displacement: 21,727
gallons
16. Damage to AST or systems. No damage reported by Owner/Operator. Upon inspection,no evidence of
weld breaks unctures cracks or other structural darns a to the tank. Leak detection is assured via
inspections of the secondary containment. Steel thickness measured to .110 in. average.
17.Comments/Test Results: a)camera confirms no sidewall dischareefleak, b) hydrocarbon sensor confirms
no sidewall discharge/leak
a.
