All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classed as"MAJOR"pose an immediate threat to public health and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations(Title 22)section 65545. #10 Disinfectant Residual MAJOR OBSERVATIONS:No chlorine detected in spa. Provide at a minimum of 3.Oppm. Spa is closed. CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Public pools, when open or in use, shall be disinfected continuously by approved chemicals and shall maintain the following concentrations: 1.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine without cyanuric acid,2.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine with cyanuric acid or 2.0 ppm bromine. Spas, wading pools, and spray grounds shall maintain the following concentrations:3.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine or 4.0 ppm bromine. CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Pool operator shall keep safety signs well maintained.(CCR 65535)Safety signs shall have clearly legible letters or numbers not less than 4 inches high, unless otherwise specified. Safety signs shall be affixed to a wall,pole, gate, or similar permanent structure in a location visible to all pool users, unless otherwise specified.(C8C 31208) #4 Safety Equipment OBSERVATIONS:Rescue hook is lacking. Provide. CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Safety equipment shall be provided, maintained, readily visible, and available for use. Pools shall have at minimum one 12 foot fixed-length rescue pole with a permanently attached body hook and one 17-inch life ring with an attached throw rope. Throw rope shall be of sufficient length to span the maximum width of the pool and shall be stored to prevent kinking or fouling. (CCR 65540) #5 Restrooms and Showers OBSERVATIONS:Toilet tissue and paper towels are lacking in restroom. Provide. Observed debris and trash on restroom floor. Clean. CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Pool operator shall ensure the following facilities are maintained and kept clean:showers, toilets, dressing facilities, drinking fountains, diaper-changing stations, floors, walls, partitions, doors, and lockers. Showers(except outside)shall be provided with soap in dispensers. Toilet facilities shall be provided with toilet tissue, hand soap, and paper towels or hot air blowers in permanently installed dispensers. Pool operator shall provide a minimum of one waste receptacle in each toilet facility. Wooden slats, duckboards and footbaths are prohibited.(CCR 65535, 65551) Showers and lavatories shall be provided with hot and cold water faucets.
