EMED <br />WHEATON RETAIL <br />Step 4: Slowly insert the Model A0081- <br />1101 test tool from the bottom of the <br />lower tube until the hook end secures to <br />the underside of the flapper valve. <br />Refer to Figures 3 and 4 for details. <br />Model Al 1 o0 Overfill <br />Prevention Valve OPV <br />Figure 3: Hook end secured to the <br />underside of the flapper valve. <br />Teating the Primary Float and Flapper Valve: <br />Step 5: With the flapper valve latched <br />open, and the hook end secured, gently <br />tug on the test tool, the flapper valve <br />must remain open. <br />Figure 7: Primary float upward, flapper <br />valve unlatched and closing. <br />Step 8: With the hook end secured, <br />gently allow the flapper valve to move <br />upward and spring back into an open <br />position, tug gently on the test tool, the <br />flapper valve must relatch and remain <br />Step 6: Using a scribe move the pri- <br />mary float upward to unlatch the flapper <br />valve, and with the hook end secured, <br />gently tug on the test tool, the flapper <br />valve must close, the test tool will move <br />about 3" downward. Refer to Figures <br />5, 6. 7 and 8 for details. <br />Figure 8: Primary float upward, flapper <br />valve unlatched and closed. <br />IMPORTANT: Perform steps 6 <br />through 8 a minimum of three times <br />to assure the primary float, latch and <br />flapper valve components of the <br />Model A1100 OPV are operating prop- <br />erly. <br />Step 9: Lift the Model A1100 OPV with <br />the collar upward and re -install on the <br />tank fill riser.
