The following is an itemized list of hazardous waste violations that have not been <br /> addressed for UNITED COLLISION CENTER & GLASS as of January 13, 2021. <br /> Open violations from August 27, 2019 inspection <br /> Violation#301 -Facility not maintained to minimize the release of a hazardous waste. <br /> OBSERVATION: The following was observed in the hazardous waste storage area. <br /> -Heavy oil stains observed on floor of shop underneath debris in the hazardous waste storage area. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE:A hazardous waste generator must maintain and operate its facility to minimize the <br /> possibility of a fire, explosion, or any unplanned sudden or non-sudden release of hazardous waste or hazardous <br /> waste constituents to air, soil, or surface water which could threaten human health or the environment. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately clean heavy oil stains. Manage the waste according to Title 22 California <br /> Code of Regulations for hazardous waste. Submit a statement and supporting documentation to the San Joaquin <br /> County Environmental Health Department describing the storage and final disposition of the cleaned up waste. <br /> ❑ This violation was corrected ❑This violation will be corrected by(date): <br /> ❑ Supporting documents included <br /> Describe actions taken or will be taken to correct violation: <br /> Violation#403-Failed to keep hazardous waste containers closed except when adding or removing <br /> hazardous waste. <br /> OBSERVATION: The following open hazardous waste storage containers were observed on-site: <br /> -One yellow oil pan with used oil observed among debris with no lid. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE:A container holding hazardous waste shall always be closed during transfer and <br /> storage, except when it is necessary to add or remove waste. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately close these containers and ensure all hazardous waste containers are closed <br /> when not adding or removing waste. Provide a corrective action statement and supporting documentation to the <br /> San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department within 30 days. <br /> ❑ This violation was corrected ❑This violation will be corrected by(date): <br /> ❑ Supporting documents included <br /> Describe actions taken or will be taken to correct violation: <br /> Page 2 of 3 <br />
