Scanned <br />Herald, CA 95638 Clements, CA 95277 <br />PROJECT DESCRIPTION: A Site Approval application for an agricultural composting facility on a 30 acre portion of an <br />820 -acre lot. The project is proposing a 400 -square -foot office and a truck scale. Approximately 200 tons of agricultural <br />waste will be collected (wood waste, green waste and up to 10% of food waste) and composted at the site daily. The facility <br />will accept green wastes from the general public and commercial operations. The facility will employ between 8 and 10 <br />individuals with 3 shifts per day. Materials will be received 7 days per week between 6:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Materials will <br />be processed and product load -out will occur on a 24 hour basis, 7 days per week. Processed compost materials will be <br />sold either in bulk or to commercial compost bagging operations. The project site will is served by an existing well for water <br />supply, an on-site septic system for sewage disposal, and natural drainage. This parcel is under a Williamson Act Contract. <br />(Use Types: Agricultural Wastes) <br />The Property is zoned AG -80 (General Agriculture, 80 -acre minimum) and the General Plan designation is A/G (General <br />Agriculture). <br />PROJECT LOCATION: The project site is located on the east side of E. Brandt Rd., 8,000 feet east of N. Johnson Rd., <br />Clements. (APN/Address: 023-180-03 & 023-250-02 / 24376 E. Brandt Rd., Lodi) (Supervisorial District: 4) <br />ENVIRONMENTAL DETERMINATION: This is a Notice of Intent to adopt a Negative Declaration for this project as <br />described. San Joaquin County has determined through the Initial Study that there is no substantial evidence that the <br />project may have a significant effect on the environment. The Negative Declaration and Initial Study can be viewed on the <br />Community Development Department website at www.sjgov.org/commdev under Active Planning Applications. <br />APPLICATION REVIEW: Recommendations and/or comments on this project must be submitted to the Community <br />Development Department no later than January 21, 2021.
