The clean cap soils have been removed and stockpiled along the <br />northerly margin of the site to the east of the cap area, and the underlying wastes are being excavated and stockpiled <br />separately to the south of the waste area. As of yesterday, the far northerly approximate 70 feet of the cap area had <br />been cleared of wastes to expose underling native soils. I collected verification samples VS1 through VS8 within the <br />cleared area with observation by Water Board and County representatives; these initial samples have been submitted <br />for laboratory testing and I will share the results when available (first results should be available by mid-next week). <br />I plan to conduct additional verification soil sampling tomorrow starting around 11am.
