t
DAssociates,
Brusca
L. Inc.
Environmental Engineering Geology
February 12, 2018
Buzz Oates Development and Construction Services
Attention: Cybil Bryant
555 Capitol Mall,Ninth Floor
Sacramento, CA 95814
SOIL GAS MONITORING WELLS INSTALLATION
MURPHY PARKWAY PROPERTY
APN 198-012-009
17100 Murphy Parkway
Lathrop, California
Brusca Project No. 137-002
INTRODUCTION
In accordance with your request, we recently installed two soil gas monitoring wells at the
subject property. The soil gas well installations and subsequent monitoring have been required
by regulatory agencies overseeing environmental review of the site. Specifically, the soil gas
monitoring program has been required to evaluate whether soil gas contaminants, including
methane and volatile organic compounds (VOCs), exist at the westerly margin of the property as
a result of uncharacterized subsurface wastes that reportedly exist offsite to the west of the
subject site. As required, an existing soil gas monitoring well (identified as VP-1) was
abandoned in conjunction with the recent soil gas monitoring well installation work.
A Vicinity Map showing the location of the subject property is presented as Plate 1. Plate 2 is a
Site Map showing the layout of the property, the location of a planned light-industrial building at
the site, the locations of the recently-installed soil gas monitoring wells, and the abandoned soil
gas monitoring well. A detail drawing of the far westerly portion of the property showing the
locations of the two recently installed soil gas monitoring wells and the layout of planned
pavements in this area is presented as Plate 3. Logs of the two recently-installed soil gas
monitoring wells are presented on Plates 4 and 5. Well permit documentation also is attached.
BruscaAssociates.com• P.O.Box 332,Roseville,CA 95661 • Phone(916)677-1470
