• <br /> City of Lodi <br /> Municipal Utilities Services <br /> 1 <br /> Hazardious Materials Training <br /> Consolidated Emergency Response and Contingency Plan <br /> PURPOSE <br /> This document covers the steps to be taken to safely and quickly respond to chemical spills, fires, and <br /> earthquakes involving hazardous materials located a various City facilities. <br /> OBJECTIVE <br /> Safe and effective monitoring of City facilities following notification of a spill, fire or earthquake making <br /> sure hazardous materials are secured and properly contained. Document all efforts of the spill <br /> notification and response. <br /> Important! <br /> Review this document as well as the site specific consolidated emergency response and contingency <br /> plans (CMRCP). Example: (Attachment 1). In response to a hazardous material emergency training must <br /> be conducted as follows: <br /> TRAINING PROCEDURES <br /> All staff responding to chemical spills,fires, and earthquakes involving hazardous materials must be <br /> trained and familiar with the following components of the utilities CMRCP. <br /> As training is conducted; check boxes accordingly. <br /> Internal Facility Emergency Response <br /> Emergency Communications, Phone Numbers and Notifications <br /> Emergency Containment and Cleanup Procedures <br /> Facility Evacuation Plan <br /> Emergency Equipment and their locations <br /> Earthquake Vulnerability <br /> TRAINING <br /> Employee training is required for all employees handing hazardous materials in a day-to-day or clean-up <br /> operations.Training conducted at Safety Tailgate Meeting.Training must be: <br /> • Provided Annually and within 6 months for new hires; <br /> • Amended as necessary prior to change in process or work assignments; <br /> • Given upon updates or modification to the CMRCP. <br /> Page - 1 - of 2 <br /> Author:Andrew Richle Rev.02/10/21 <br />
