We talked about the delinquency of the compliance schedule
that was to set dates for submittal of a sludge management plan, a vadose zone
monitoring plan and a closure plan for the Corral Hollow landfill . A tentative
schedule was agreed upon during our meeting on 17 November 1986 and was to be
submitted to us within 30 days. It was never submitted. During our phone conver-
sation 2 February 1987 you said you would send me the schedule within a week. I
still have not received it.
I am now formally requesting that a vadose zone monitoring plan and a closure plan
be submitted in accordance with the following time schedule. Please note that the
schedule includes a due date for your Solid Waste Water Quality Assessment Testing
proposal :
Report Due Date
SWAT Proposal 1 April 1987
Vadose Zone Monitoring Report 17 April 1987
Closure Plan 1 July 1987
These requests are made pursuant to Section 13267 of the California Water Code.
Administrative fines of up to $1,000.00 per day may be levied if we do not receive
your technical reports on time.
If you have any questions, please call me at (916) 361-5733.
STEVE SALZMAN
Project Engineer
SS:cab
cc: Mr. Neil Sherman, California Waste Management Board, Sacramento
Mr. Tom Horton, County of San Joaquin, Stockton
Mr. Michael Locke, City Manager, Tracy
Mr. James Miller, San Joaquin Local Health District, Stockton
