<br />1. BEFORE BEGINNING WORK AT THE SITE, WHERE POSSIBLE AND THROUGHOUT THE
<br />COURSE OF THE WORK, INSPECT AND VERIFY THE LOCATION OF EVERY ITEM AFFECTED

<br />SUCH INCIDENTAL WORK IS ALSO PART OF THIS CONTRACT. INSPECT THOSE AREAS AND
<br />ASCERTAIN WORK NEEDED AND DO THAT WORK IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE
<br />CONTRACT REQUIREMENTS AT NO ADDITIONAL COST.
<br />4. TRADE, PRODUCT OR MANUFACTURER'S NAME OR CATALOG NUMBERS SHOWN ON THE
<br />DRAWINGS FOR NEW PRODUCTS ARE TO ESTABLISH QUALITY REQUIRED. IN EACH CASE
<br />ADD BY INFERENCE AFTER TRADE, PRODUCT OR MANUFACTURER'S NAME THE PHRASE
<br />"OR APPROVED EQUAL".
<br />5. TRADE PRODUCT OR MANUFACTURER'S NAME OR CATALOG NUMBERS AND
<br />INDICATION OF PRODUCT TYPES, SUCH AS "GLASS FIBER INSULATION", SHOWN ON THE
<br />DRAWINGS FOR EXISTING PRODUCTS ARE BELIEVED TO BE ACCURATE. IF THEY ARE
<br />DISCOVERED TO BE INACCURATE, NOTIFY ARCHITECT IMMEDIATELY AND DO NOT
<br />PROCEED WITHOUT INSTRUCTIONS.
<br />6. PROTECT EXISTING WORK TO REMAIN FROM DAMAGE.
<br />7. REPAIR, PATCH AND FINISH OR REFINISH AS APPLICABLE TO MATCH ADJACENT EXISTING
<br />FINISHES, THOSE EXISTING SURFACES DAMAGED, OR NEWLY EXPOSED DURING
<br />PERFORMANCE OF THE WORK UNDER THIS CONTRACT.
<br />8. WHERE PERMANENT REMOVAL OF EXISTING MILLWORK, CASEWORK, CABINETWORK,
<br />ACCESSORIES, EQUIPMENT OR FURNISHINGS IS REQUIRED AND PREVIOUSLY
<br />CONCEALED SURFACES ARE TO REMAIN EXPOSED, PATCH PREVIOUSLY EXPOSED
<br />SURFACE. WHERE SUCH SURFACES ARE SCHEDULED TO RECEIVE NEW FINISHES, PREPARE
<br />THE SURFACES TO RECEIVE NEW FINISHES.
<br />9. WHERE CUTTING OF EXISTING SURFACES OR REMOVAL OF EXISTING FINISHES IS
<br />REQUIRED TO PERFORM THE WORK UNDER THIS CONTRACT, AND A NEW FINISH IS NOT
<br />INDICATED, FILL RESULTING OPENINGS AND PATCH THE SURFACE AFTER DOING THE
<br />WORK AND FINISH TO MATCH ADJACENT EXISTING SURFACES.
<br />10. WORK SHOWN IS NEW UNLESS SPECIFICALLY NOTED OR OTHERWISE INDICATED AS
<br />EXISTING.
<br />11. WHERE "(E)" PROCEEDS A REFERENCE TO A MATERIAL OR PRODUCT, THE "(E)" MEANS
<br />THAT THE INDICATED MATERIAL OR PRODUCT IS EXISTING.
<br />12. THE ARCHITECT WILL NOT BE OBSERVING THE CONSTRUCTION OF THIS PROJECT. THE
<br />CONTRACTOR IS SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR THE QUALITY CONTROL AND

<br />13. THE CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR PROVIDING LABOR, MATERIALS, AND
<br />EQUIPMENT NECESSARY FOR THE PROPER EXECUTION AND COMPLETION OF THE WORK.
<br />14. OWNER TO REVIEW AND APPROVE ALL ELECTRICAL POWER SITES AND INSTALL PHONE,
<br />COMM, AUDIOVISUAL AND SECURITY SYSTEMS PRIOR TO INSTALLATION OF DRYWALL.
<br />15. CONTRACTOR TO COORDINATE WITH OWNER'S VENDORS (SUCH AS, BUT NOT LIMITED
<br />TO: SECURITY, PHONES, DATA, AUDIOVISUAL, ETC.) AND ALLOW ACCESS TO THE
<br />CONSTRUCTION SITE AS NECESSARY. CONTRACTOR TO ADVISE OWNER WHEN READY.
<br />16. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL CHECK ALL DIMENSIONS AT THE JOB AND SHALL BE
<br />RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL DISCREPANCIES BETWEEN DIMENSIONS OF THE ACTUAL WORK
<br />AND THOSE SHOWN IN THE DOCUMENTS OR ARCHITECTS APPROVED DRAWINGS
<br />17. IT IS THE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CONTRACTOR TO ASSUME ALL THE SYSTEMS AND
<br />SUB -SYSTEMS DESCRIBED IN THESE DRAWINGS COMPLY WITH APPLICABLE CODES AND
<br />ARE A COMPLETE AND FINISHED PRODUCT. ALL INQUIRIES AS TO THE NATURE OF THESE

<br />2. PROVIDE 2AIO-BC WITHIN 75OF EXITS AND 3,000 S.F. IN GENERAL USE AREAS. THE GENERAL
<br />CONTRACTOR IS TO SUBMIT THE PROPOSED LOCATION OF ALL FIRE EXTINGUISHERS TO THE FIRE MARSHAL
<br />PRIOR TO INSTALLATION.
<br />3. ALL DOORS IN MEANS OF EGRESS DESIGNED TO BE KEPT CLOSED SHALL HAVE A SIGN VISIBLE ONLY IN THE
<br />DIRECTION OF EXIT TRAVEL WITH THE WORDS " FIRE EXIT' LOCATED ABOVE THE WORDS " KEEP DOOR
<br />CLOSED".
<br />4. PROVIDE A RECESSED MOUNTED KNOX BOX IN A LOCATION DESIGNATED BY THE CITY OF RIPON FIRE
<br />DEPARTMENT. THE BOX MUST BE IN PLACE PRIOR TO OCCUPANCY. AN APPLICATION FOR THE KNOX
<br />BOX MUST BE OBTAINED THROUGH THE CITY OF RIPON FIRE DEPARTMENT - ALLOW 2 -3 WEEKS FOR
<br />DELIVERY.
<br />5. THE WATERFLOW MONITORING SYSTEM SHALL BE INSPECTED AND UL CERTIFIED PRIOR TO FINAL
<br />INSPECTION. A COPY OF THE REPORT SHALL BE FURNISHED TO THE FIRE DEPARTMENT FOR THEIR RECORDS.
<br />6. PREMISES IDENTIFICATION SHALL BE PER CFC 505 OR LOCAL JURISDICTION
<br />DEFERRED SUBMITTALS:
<br />THE FOLLOWING ITEMS ARE TO BE DEFERRED. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL SUBMIT THE REFERRED DOCUMENTS TO
<br />THE ARCHITECT AND BUILDING DEPARTMENT FOR REVIEW PRIOR TO INSTALLATION:
<br />1. FIRE SPRINKLER SYSTEM
<br />A. FIRE SPRINKLER SYSTEM PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS WILL BE SUBMITTED SEPARATELY TO THE FIRE
<br />DEPARTMENT FOR APPROVAL. INSTALLATION WILL BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH NFPA 13, 2010 EDITION -
<br />THE FIRE SPRINKLER SYSTEM SHALL BE SUBMITTED UNDER A SEPERATE PERMIT AND COVER TO THE BUILDING
<br />DEPARTMENT BY A C-16 LICENSED CONTRACTOR.
<br />B. FIRE ALARM SYSTEM PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS WILL BE SUBMITTED SEPARATELY TO THE FIRE
<br />DEPARTMENT FOR APPROVAL. SUBMITTAL WILL INCLUDE BATTERY AND VOLTAGE DROP CALCULATIONS,
<br />CUT SHEETS AND STATE FIRE MARSHAL LISTINGS FOR ALL PRODUCTS / DEVICES / EQUIPMENT. THE
<br />INSTALLATION OF A FIRE ALARM SYSTEM OR ALTERATIONS TO THE EXISTING FIRE ALARM SYSTEM SHALL BE
<br />SUBMITTED UNDER A SEPERATE PERMITAND COVER TO THE BUILDING DEPARTMENT BY A C- TO LICENSED
<br />FIRE ALARM CONTRACTOR.
<br />SPECIAL INSPECTIONS:
<br />1. SUSPENDED CEILINGS ARE SUBJECT TO SPECIAL INSPECTION AS DESCRIBED IN SECTION 11A.1.3.9 IS ASCE
<br />7-05. THIS INSPECTION ENTAILS MANUFACTURER CERTIFICATION OF COMPONENT PERFORMANCE AND
<br />PERIODIC INSPECTION OF THE SUSPENDED CEILING ANCHORAGE SYSTEM.

<br />1. PROVIDE CONSTRUCTION SITE ADDRESS
