Pipes shall be sized so flow velocity of piping systems including all parts and <br /> fittings other than inlet devices or venturi throats shall not exceed 6 feet per <br /> second in any suction and 8 feet per second in any portion of the return <br /> system. <br /> 2. All suction outlets must be hydraulically balanced and symmetrically plumbed <br /> through one or more "T" fittings, and separated by a distance of at least three <br /> feet in any direction between the suction outlets. <br /> 3. Main drains and equalizer line covers shall meet the AB1020 requirements. The <br /> parts must be installed according to manufacturer specifications. Provide specs. <br /> 4. Each cover/grate must have a flow capacity equal to or greater than the flow of <br /> the recirculation system. <br /> 5. All "T" fittings must be verified by this department. Also, if the proposed <br /> covers/grates require sumps, they must be verified by this department. <br /> 6. All pumps, filters, chemical feeders, disinfectant feeders, skimmers and supplemental <br /> equipment shall comply with the applicable requirements established by the NSF/ANSI <br /> 50-2010. <br />
