_TMJ,
Jeff Carruesco [EH]
From: Jeff Carruesco [EH]
Sent: Thursday, November 20, 2008 4:21 PM
To: 'lynns@inshapeclubs.com'
Cc: Ray Borges [EH]
Subject: Therapy Spa
Lynn,
The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department received a complaint earlier this week regarding an
incident at the outdoor therapy spa.
According to the district inspector, Raymond Borges, a handrail has apparantely been installed in the shallow end
without a permit from this department. Any modifications made to a public pool or spa must have approval from
this department and/or the local building department.
Since this department feels that the installation of the unpermitted handrail may cause a safety problem, we are
instructing you to close the therapy spa until further notice. Plans for modification of the spa will need to be
submitted and approved until any work on the spa can commence.
If you have any questions you can call me at (209)468-3438
Thank you,
Jeff Carruesco, REHS Program Coordinator
San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department
j.
11/20/2008.
I
