The following is an itemized list of hazardous waste violations that have not been <br />addressed for EL CAMINO TIRES (WILSON) as of February 08, 2021. <br />Open violations from October 02, 2020 inspection <br />Violation #101 - Managed a hazardous waste without an identification number. <br />OBSERVATIOht This business has an inactive hazardous waste ID number in the California Department of Toxic <br />Substances Control (DTSC) database. The inactive number is CAL000325370. <br />REGULATION GUIDANCE: A hazardous waste generator shall not treat, store, dispose of, transport or offer for <br />transportation, hazardous waste without having received an Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Identification <br />(ID) Number. A State EPA ID number is required for generators of less than 100 kg RCRA hazardous waste per <br />month, less than 1 kg of acutely hazardous waste per month or any amount of non-RCRA hazardous waste. ID <br />numbers are unique to a business and site location. <br />CORRECTIVE ACTION: Go to the DISC web site at https://dtsc.ca.gov/apply-for-hazardous-waste-epa-id-number/ <br />to reactivate your ID number. Immediately reactivate your ID number and submit evidence to the San Joaquin <br />County Environmental Health Department within 30 days. <br />❑ This violation was corrected <br />❑ Supporting documents included <br />❑ This violation will be corrected by (date): <br />Describe actions taken or will be taken to correct violation: <br />Violation #110 -Failed to keep signed copy of manifests from the designated facility for three years. <br />OBSERVATIOt�t The business operator could not provide hazardous waste disposal records from <br />10/2/2017-1/1/2020 for used oil, oily absorbent, and paper and metal oil filters. According to the manager, Ivan <br />Montijo, the records before 2020 were kept in a warehouse that caught on fire and he was not able to locate the <br />documents. <br />REGULATION GUIDANCE: A hazardous waste generator shall keep a copy of each manifest signed in accordance <br />with section 66262.23(a) for three years or until the generator receives a signed copy from the designated facility <br />which received the waste. This signed copy shall be retained as a record for at least three years from the date the <br />waste was accepted by the initial transporter. <br />CORRECTIVE ACTION: Provide a copy of disposal records from 10/2/2017-1/112020 for all hazardous wastes <br />including used oil, oily absorbent, and paper and metal oil filters.
