Dollar Tree Distribution Center 1122 Runway Dr., Stockton, CA Record ID PR0539024
10/14-15//2019 CUPA—Haz. Waste
PHOTO#24
The following waste was found in a container labeled Hazardous Waste Aerosols, Flammables and Combustibles (AF) in the hazardous waste storage
area (see photos IMG 8670-1):
-An aerosol can without a label and inside a bag marked AF (IMG 8675). It was unknown what chemical was contained in the aerosol can and if the
chemical is compatible with flammable hazardous waste.
-An aerosol can of The Home Store Non-Abrasive Bathroom Cleaner(UPC 639277928115), inside a bag marked AF. When Rebecca Corona, Hazmat
employee, scanned the bathroom cleaner to show which hazardous waste container the cleaner belonged in, the hand-held scanner did not provide a
hazardous waste category determination (IMG 8676-8). It is unknown if the bathroom cleaner is compatible with flammable hazardous waste.
-An aerosol can of Foaming Glass Cleaner, labeled streak-free and ammonia-free (IMG 8679-80). According to Sherry Aebersold, Environmental
Health & Safety Compliance Manager, and Rebecca Corona, Hazmat employee, the foaming glass cleaner was used by the facility employees, was not
sold as a Dollar Tree product, and thus when scanned did not have a hazardous waste category determination input into the hand-held scanning system
(IMG 8681). It is unknown if the bathroom cleaner is compatible with flammable hazardous waste.
-An aerosol can of Battery Cleaner(IMG 8682-3). According to Sherry and Rebecca, the battery cleaner was used by the facility employees, was not
sold as a Dollar Tree product, and thus when scanned did not have a hazardous waste category determination input into the hand-held scanning system.
It is unknown if the bathroom cleaner is compatible with flammable hazardous waste.
I f
i
Elianna Florido, REHS Page 24 of 130
