UP-01-09 }
Page 2 of 2
The EHD would like you to have a long-term maintenance agreement(greater than 1 year as
proposed) as part of any decision to approve an engineered designed sewage treatment system.
EHD would like you to consider the complexity of this wastewater treatment system. EHD's
approval of any these systems will require a certified operator to maintain and operate the system,
in addition to routine monitoring and reporting of effluent that would be reported by a State
Certified lab to EHD. If monitoring shows impact to above specified limits, that NOA, Orenco,
and the Central Valley Baptist church would be responsible for reducing impact of that
monitoring. If said system cannot meet the Porter-Cologne Act standards and permit
requirements of EHD, a different engineered system or additional enhancements of AdvanTex
would be required to meet those standards.
If you have any questions, please contact Raymond Borges,Lead Senior Registered
Environmental Health Specialist, Registered Dairy Inspector of my staff at(209) 468-3284.
Donna Heran, R.E.H.S., Director
Environmental Health Department
Mike Huggins, Supervising R.E.H.S., R.D.T.
Environmental Health Department
MH: cf
cc: David Welch, Sr. Geologist,Neil O.
