Subject: ADDENDUM;SOIL SUITABILITY/NITRATE LOADING STUDY
CENTRAL VALLEY BAPTIST CHURCH(UP-01-9) '
F
10.948 S:AIRPORT WAY, MANTECA, CALIFORNIA
Dear.Pastor Linder,
Per our request,we have completed an addendum to the nitrate loadin stud LS for the
Y 9 p loading.study )
k subject property. The project address is 10948 S. Airport Way, Manteca, California. The Assessors- `
Parcel Number.is 204-020-04 containing 16.67 acres. The San Joaquin County.Community Development
Department Use Permit Number is UP-01-9. The original soil suitability/nitrate load study was prepared
by our office and was dated December 16, 2002. The project job number, was LG02-213. For additional
projectdetails,please refer to the soil suitability/nitrate loading,report.
' The.following Ietter.is an update of the tlitrate loading portion of the.report. This letter reflects
some, new information regarding the quantityand quality of the waste water influent, and the predicted
concentrations with-and without the use'of an engineered septic system.
The proposed project consists of a church facility to be,constructed in two phases. Tlie revised '
plan for the facility noted on the Quataroli&Associates site plait shows Phase I construction will consist_
of a 40-ft b 160-ft 6 400 s ft: steel structure to be used as a multi- u ose buildin Included--in
Y q• . ) p g• '
' Phase Iwill be,a storm drain detention basin and 87 parking spaces. Phase II will consist of a 130-ft x
€ 200-ft(26,000 sq. ft:) church building. Parking will:increase to 108 spaces for Phase II. No kitchen is
' planned for the Phase I building. No kitchen or showers are planned for either phase. Phase II is to be,
, completed by 2007.
The original soiI'suitability/nitrate loading study found the site had a rapid percolation rate,
relatively shallow depth to ground water, and the pre-existing nitrate condition of the underlying ground
water: Because of these conditions and the"County's concerns for additional impacts to ground water, a
recommendation for the use of an engineered septic system to reduce nitrates of the sewage effluent was
provided,.
Theoriginal soil suitability/nitrate loading study.was prepared for the Phase-1:use,only since no
project details were available for.the Phase Hat that time-of the"report. Since then, this information has,
been provided to our office requiring this addendum report. - ,
Revised Nitrate Loading Analysis
Because,of the concern of nitrate leaching into ground water from-se'ptic'systems, anitrate
t loading analysis was required by the San Joaquin County Public Health Services,Environmental Health
