River Islands Development at Lathrop January 2021 <br /> Final River Islands Potable Water Technical Report-Rev 3 #6520 <br /> 6 Preliminary Improvement Implementation Schedule <br /> 6.1 Preliminary Improvement Implementation Schedule <br /> The River Islands PW demands should be regularly monitored to help update and confirm the installed <br /> distribution system can reliable meet the system demands. The design of improvements should begin <br /> when the installed system has reached 60-80 percent of its rated capacity, depending on the complexity of <br /> the improvement. As described in Section 5 & 3, distribution systems must have a firm pumping capacity <br /> capable of supplying the greater of the MDD + Fire Flow or PHD, and must have enough PW storage to <br /> meet emergency, operational, and fire flow storage requirements. <br /> Construction of River Islands is estimated to be completed by 2040, and will continue to be constructed <br /> over separate stages. Based on River Islands Village Detail (Phase 1 and 2) - Final V2.0 Spreadsheet showing the preliminary construction <br /> schedule for the River Islands Development. <br /> The Phase I BPS site is nearing completion and will be initially installed with a firm pumping capacity of <br /> 6,000 GPM and a PW Storage Capacity of 1.5 MG. Based on the preliminary construction schedule and <br /> associated demands shown in Table 6-1, Table 6-2 below shows the minimum preliminary improvement <br /> implementation schedule in order for the River Islands distribution system to meet the firm pumping <br /> capacity and PW storage requirements. It is recommended to coordinate the implementation of the <br /> improvements to efficiency service the expanding development(i.e. install the 1.5 MG and 1.6 MG Phase <br /> BPS tanks at once instead of piece meal). <br /> Currently the City has allowed River Islands to utilize the existing City-wide fire storage capacity until the <br /> future 1.5 and 1.6 MG tanks are installed at the Phase I BPS and Storage site. As shown below,the current <br /> 2014-2020 potable water storage requirement is equal to the approximate maximum day demand of <br /> 1,266,386 GPD (no dedicated fire storage required within River Islands). <br /> 40 <br />
