Inspection Report Comments <br /> Quaterly compost inspection performed on this date and the following was noted: <br /> 1. The operator has implemented concrete blocks as monuments. Currently,there are 8 concrete blocks <br /> on site that are spaced 150 feet apart(4 on each side of the greenwaste, ground, over, and product <br /> piles). The operator has been instructed to place the concrete blocks 50 feet apart and to color the <br /> blocks so they are more easily visible. <br /> 2. The treated wood waste (TWW)container has a tarp cover that will be used during the wet seaon <br /> per Title 22 Section 67386.6 (a)(2)(13)(1). It is recommended that the signage on the container <br /> has a start accumulation date per Title 22 Section 67386.5(b). TWW may be accumulated in <br /> containers for no longer than one year from the date the TWW is generated. <br /> 3. Changes to the format of the records for the quantity of feedstock received and quantity of the <br /> compost sold were recommended. These changes will provide an easier understanding of the <br /> quantities received and sold. <br /> 4. The piles of feedstock that caught on fire on 1/10/11 have been integrated into the composting <br /> process. <br /> 5. Lab results for the metal concentrations,fecal coliform levels, and Salmonella levels of the compost <br /> product show that the compost product has met the state standards. <br /> 6. The total amount of material on site was approximately 7,778 cubic yards. <br /> 7. The temperatures of the windrows ranged between 95 F to 125 F. The temperature range of the <br /> ground material and feedstock piles was 81 F to 156 F and 84 F to 125 F respectively. The <br /> temperature of the overs, pre-screened product,and screened product was 81 F, 82 F, and 85 F <br /> respectively. <br />
