We
are a program 2 facility with 4 employees. In the event of an accidental release of ammonia,
appropriate local agencies will be notified with steps taken to contain the release. Employees are
trained to implement safety measures in all aspects of the job. Changes to improve safety at the
facility are reviewed and acted upon when deemed necessary. A worst case scenario as well as
an alternate scenario were addressed including possible impact to the public. Reviews and safe
practices are followed as to prevent any release from occurring. A Hazard Review is done to
recognize any potential threats to safety in the process that could result in a release. Training is
preformed to educate employees in safe practices to avoid an accidental release. Equipment is
maintained and serviced when deemed appropriate. The Stockton Fire Department is to respond
in the event of an accidental release of ammonia with the UPA being notified in the event of an
accidental release.
22 of 22
