Older woman came to answer the door, <br /> introduced myself and aldara and informed her of the alleged complaint. She said, <br /> okay.... so then I asked. Is there anyone living in the backyard? She said yes. I <br /> asked her if we could take a look and she said to hold on. We waited and then she <br /> came out to inform us that she thought we were johova witnesses. I informed her <br /> we could meet her at a side gate or something. We started walking near the <br /> garage and a man in his 40s came out and a woman. The woman asked what is <br /> going to happen if they show us the backyard. I told them depends on what the <br /> person is living in... I informed them that if its a shed I would have to start a <br /> housing case and the person no matter what needs to be removed from the shed. <br /> Also, I informed them that the complaint states they are defecating in the backyard <br /> and urinating. The older woman got upset and started yelling at the son because <br /> she had yelled at him a few days before for doing that. The older woman asked <br /> what we were going to do for her son, I informed her he should contact Section 8 <br /> and homeless shelters if she will not let him in the house. Unsure if she would not <br /> let him in the house due to COVID or due to tough love. The woman in her 40s did <br /> not give me access to the backyard. I could see the shed from the side of the <br /> house with a tarp over the area but could not confirm a bed inside. Junk and trash <br /> around the area and informed them to clean it up. Wrote a notice to abate and <br /> gave 30 days to have the area cleaned up, tarp taken down and a picture that the <br /> shed does not have a bed in it. Informed them that 30 days is a lengthy <br /> compliance schedule for a situation like this and I would come back out in 30 days <br /> if I don't hear anything and start a housing case for the improper occupancy of a <br /> shed. The older woman thought it would fall onto her son, I informed her that since <br /> she is the property owner the fees would go to her. Asked them to call or email me <br /> if they have any questions and to send me photos. <br /> 10/07/2020 Created photo log for Notice to Abate.
