Complaint Investigation Summary Report#:5105
COMPLAINT ID: CO0053219 Site Location: 1756 W SOUTH TUXEDO AVE
Activity Summary
Activity Date Recorded by
01/11/2021 Received a call from the owner informing me this is the first time she has heard LINDSAY
about the bed bugs. She stated she tried to call the tenant multiple times but he is
not picking up. I asked if she lived in the area, she said yes, and I suggested she
go drive by and see if he is home. I informed the owner how severe the bed bug
infestation is and how concerned we are. She said she would try to drive by today
and let him know she is going to hire someone to get it abated. She is concerned
that once she hires someone, that the tenant is not cleanily and will continue to
bring in the bed bugs. I let her know that if she would like us there when she
discusses it with the tenant I am willing to go with her. The bed bug infestation is
severe and most likely the couch will need to be tossed. As for the remaining
items in the apartment, there are heat treatments for clothing. I informed the
owner that if it is not resolved by the end of the week, then I will post the dwelling
with a notice to vacate.
01/12/2021 Owner informed me that pest control is going out tomorrow to evaluate the bed LINDSAY
bug situation, and they can do heat treatment on Monday. She has been in the
contact with the tenant and is going to try to discuss his personal belongings and
the heat treatment that is needed.
01/19/2021 Received a receipt from pest control treatment for bed bugs. It stated heat and LINDSAY
chemical treatment were used. Owner informed me that the pest control stated
that if the bed bugs come back the couch will have to be tossed. I let her know if
the tenant refuses to remove the couch to let me know and I will talk to him about
it. I let her know I would talk to my supervisor about closing the case.
01/22/2021 Recommend to abate complaint as office response. Received bed bug pest LINDSAY
control treatment receipt showing that heat and chemical treatment was used to
correct the violation. Filled out complaint form and printed 5105.
Gave to Scott to review.
5105.rpt Page 2 of 2
