(C _') ! ` FJ-0
-------------------------------------------------
Activity Summary
Activity Date Recorded by
08/10/2020 Preparation for complaint inspection. FLORIDO
Arrived on-site. Significant or fresh oil, oil stains, or leaking vehicles, were not
immediately apparent on the soil or sidewalk in front of the property, or in the part
of the front yard immediately in front of the home. However, I was unable to
adequately inspect the property front yard soil on the south side of the home
because there was a vehicle parked in between the side walk and the property,
and I felt uncomfortable inspecting the area without first notifying the resident.
There was no one conducting oil changes in front of the property. A silver Acura
was not observed. Knocked on the front door. No one answered. I left my
business card on the door. Left site.
I will return to the site to attempt an adequate inspection of the property front yard
and its soil, specifically on the south side of the home.
08/26/2020 Reviewed narrative. Revised narrative to include the reason why I need to visit the FLORIDO
site again.
08/28/2020 Visited residence to attempt a complaint inspection, but was unable to make FLORIDO
contact with anyone on-site. Observed the soil in front of and on the north and
south sides of the residence from the sidewalk. Oil spills were not observed in the
soil. Old oil stains were observed on the driveway. Three vehicles were parked on
the property, but none were a Silver Acura, nor leaking oil. Took photos and left
my business card on the door. Left site.
Called and left a voice message for the complainant, stating I was unable to verify
the complaint so I will be abating the complaint, and I provided my call-back
number should the complainant have any questions/concerns.
08/31/2020 Received a call from Michael Hakeman, who states he found my business card on FLORIDO
his door. Michael states he is the tenant at 13 S Cardinal Ave and his son had
accidentally leaked oil onto the driveway and the street when he was performing
an oil change on his car. Michael states he takes his own car to a facility to get an
oil change, and his son doesn't perform oil changes on vehicles owned by other
individuals. Informed Michael that he can use kitty litter to clean-up an oil spill and
take the used kitty litter to the San Joaquin County Household Hazardous Waste
facility for proper disposal, since used oil is hazardous and should not go into the
trash. Michael agreed and understood. Emailed Michael the San Joaquin County
Household Hazardous Waste facility brochure.
5105.rpt Page 1 of 2
