Please do not open attachments or
click links from an unknown or suspicious origin.
Good afternoon Ms.Trigos,
As discussed per our phone call, the two violations we issued and later cleared because of the timely clean-up is our
standard violations for any chemicals that are released. The two violations in question:
1) The code section cited (CA Health and Safety Code 5411) states: No person shall discharge sewage or other
waste, or the effluent of treated sewage or other waste, in any manner which will result in contamination,
pollution, or a nuisance. Spilled material was released onto the ground; although the spill was minimal, the
discharge still occurred. That is why the violation was written.
2) The code section cited (CA Health and Safety Code 25189.5 (a) ) states: The disposal of any hazardous waste, or
the causing thereof, is prohibited when the disposal is at a facility which does not have a permit from the
department issued pursuant to this chapter, or at any point which is not authorized according to this
chapter. The spilled material became a waste once it left the chemical container. The area where this material
was released is not authorized to receive this type of waste. That is why the violation was written.
The violations were corrected timely and once the disposal records are received we will close the complaint.
If you would like to come in and have a meeting with our department to talk about this further, please send a few dates
with your availability and we are more than willing to accommodate.
Thank you,
W efissa _Arissim, WEYfS
Program Coordinator
San Joaquin County Environmental Health Dept
1868 E.
