Contacted SJCGH <br /> dispatch stated Montezuma Fire District reported 100 gallon of organic peroxide <br /> released at Oak Harbor Freight Lines located at 3018 E. Loomis Rd. Stockton, CA <br /> 95205. <br /> Provided me with contact information for Montezuma Fire District. Contacted <br /> Montezuma Fire, stated that Chief Martel is on scene and has contained the <br /> release. Provided with the contact information for Chief Martel. Contacted <br /> Muniappa Naidu (Program Coordinator) updated him on spill. <br /> Contacted Chief Martel. States that approximately 300 gallons of Organic <br /> Peroxide were released by unknown circumstances. He stated that truck driver <br /> noticed leakage when he parked his truck, and immediately contacted 911. He <br /> stated that no water ways were impacted and that organic peroxide was released <br /> on the asphalt and shipping truck. Updated Muni on call. <br /> 6:50 met with Tim Baird, Terminal Manager and Troy Hardy, Operations Manager. <br /> Stated that no evacuations have been issued by the fire department. Stated that <br /> there are Two 330 gallon totes with organic peroxide and two 330 gallon totes with <br /> hydrogen peroxide. Montezuma Fire are treating the release as organic peroxide <br /> until further confirmation can be made. Organic Peroxide was determined to be <br /> the most hazardous between the two hazardous materials. They stated that Clean <br /> Harbors was on their way to assess the situation and perform clean-up. <br /> Met with Chief Martel, showed me site area from a distance. He stated that they <br /> placed containers underneath the truck to catch any actively dripping organic <br /> peroxide. He stated that there is a nearby drain that leads to a retention pond, that <br /> was not impacted. They used the spill kits and soil located on site to help contain <br /> the release. Chief Martel stated that he will be providing me with photos via email. <br /> Met with Norm Sanchez, Supervisor and Eduardo Macias, Field Supervisor for <br /> Clean Harbors. Discussed clean-up with them. They stated that they will be doing <br /> PH testing on release to determine if acidic or basic and use appropriate <br /> neutralizer from there. They stated that clean-up will not start until product is <br /> completely gassed out. <br /> Generated Notice to abate. Reviewed NTA with Tim and Troy. Sent a copy to Tim <br /> and Troy's email. <br /> Requested that Eduardo, contact me when clean-up is almost complete. I <br /> requested he give me an hour of notice. Sent text to his number.
