Country Club Blvd. <br />Stockton, CA 95204 <br />RE: Joe Grindstone Association <br />13550 Highway 12, Lodi, CA 95242 <br />Complaint ID: C00048503 <br />On January 24, 2019, the San Joaquin County, Environmental Health Department (EHD) <br />conducted an inspection at the above referenced property in response to a complaint referred <br />to EHD from CalEPA. At the time of the inspection, several issues were observed. <br />Nature of Complaint/Violation: <br />Complainant states "...there is a severe sewage problem with illegal septics that people refuse <br />to repair. Complainant states there is a total of five septics on the little island " <br />Observation #1 <br />An approximate 1.5" polyvinylchloride (PVC) pipe inside a 6" perforated PVC pipe was observed <br />pumping surface water from Little Potato Slough (off the Mokelumne River) from the dock at the <br />north side of the isthmus to a filtration and chlorination treatment system to be distributed for <br />potable water use. The treated water is then distributed to approximately 50 faucets and possibly <br />the irrigation system throughout the property. <br />The EHD has no record of a permit to operate a Public Water System for this facility or an <br />approval for a surface water treatment system to be used as a potable water source. <br />Violations <br />San Joaquin County Ordinance Code, Title 9, Section 9-1120.2 <br />(b) — Agencies approval requirement — For projects requiring a public water system, the <br />water system shall meet the requirements of the County Fire Warden, the Environmental Health <br />Department, the Public Works Department, and the public agency providing the service. <br />1868 E HazeIton Avenue I Stockton, California 95205 I T 209468-34201 F 209 464-0138 1 ww ,v.sicehd.om
