ATTACHMENT Complaint CO0053073 Olivera Foods December 04, 2020 A complaint inspection conducted this date and the flowing was noted: • The allegations of the complaint is that they ranch is emitting a white powder in the air and smells like the farm is burning chickens and feces. • The chicken houses do have emit dander from the chickens by the cooling exhaust fans. The release of the dander is part of the operation and did not appear to be in excess of normal operations. • A white dust emitted near the manure drying belts. The drying belt uses the cooling exhaust fans to force air through the manure to dry it. The employees were sweeping the powder up during the inspection.The operator(Santos) indicated that they clean the area each day. • The incinerator was operating at the time of the inspection.There was some odor similar to diesel fumes.The incinerator door that appeared to be in need of repair.The operator(Santos) indicated that he has a repair person scheduled next week. • The wind was still the day of the inspection. • The operator(Santos) indicated that a contractor was coating the roof on the Northern Houses. He stated that it was very dusty because they had to use a leaf blower to clear off the dust prior to placing the coating on the roof. Santos also state that there was some wind during that process. • There were a few adult flies and odor were light. • Unable to verify Complaint.
