LIVE OAK GEO ENVIRONMENTAL, INC.
407 W. Oak St., Lodi, CA 95240 :• (209) 369-0375 :- logelodi.com
February 11, 2020 RECEIVED 4q
Project Number: 2106c
Steven Shih, Sr. REHS FEB 12 2021
San Joaquin County Environmental Health DepaRM69NMENTAL HEALTH
1868 E. Hazelton Ave. DEPARTMENT
Stockton, CA 95205
Regarding: Second Addendum to Soil Suitability/Nitrate Loading Study
25795 S. Bird Rd., Tracy, CA
Report dated February 4, 2021
Mr. Shih:
Per the request of Gabriel Ruvalcaba, Live Oak GeoEnviron mental, Inc. (Live Oak) has
prepared this revision to the calculation included in the above Nitrate Loading Study.
Mr. Ruvalcaba is purchasing the Site and is considering placing only one three-
bedroom or two-bedroom house on the Site.
We have also received test results from rainwater sampling we conducted in January,
the use of which will slightly reduce the predicted nitrate loading for the project.
Nitrate Loading Calculation
As discussed in the Nitrate Loading Study, a three-bedroom house would result in an
estimated daily flow of 200 gallons per day (gpd). A two-bedroom house would result
in an estimated daily flow of 150 gpd.
Rainwater Testing Results
Hantzsche and Finnemore listed 1 mg/L-N as the nitrate concentration of rainwater for
their original calculation; in the past, Live Oak has also utilized this value for the nitrate
loading calculation.
To determine a more accurate local value, Live Oak has collected rainwater during
several recent storm events in Lodi. Each sample was collected in a clean, dry,
stainless steel bowl, then decanted into a plastic container and placed on ice for
transport. The samples were analyzed for nitrate by FGL Environmental of Stockton.
The results of the rainwater sampling are as follows:
Environmental Engineering Geology Geophysics
