15 December 2020 AdvancedGeo
Project No. 05-1278 An Employee-Owned Company
Page 6 of 14
A review of the California Department of Toxics and Substance Control (DTSC)
EnviroStor Database and the Geotracker Web site revealed three (3) leaking fuel
underground storage tank (LUST) sites, including the subject property, within a half-mile
radius of the subject property. The LUST sites have been closed since 2012 and 2016.
Based on the status of the sites and the direction from the subject property, the sites
should not impact the subject property. The review did not reveal any other sites of
environmental concern within a half-mile radius of the site.
4.3. ON-SITE EXISTING WELL DESCRIPTION
There is currently no water well on the property. The property is provided potable water
from the San Joaquin County municipal well system.
There are two well permits on file with EHD for the subject property, the following is a
summary of the permits on file:
• EHD Permit#81-318, dated May 1981: Installation of domestic well and pump; 12-
inch diameter borehole; 8-inch diameter well casing and grout seal depth of
50 feet.
• EHD Permit #84-361, dated April 1984: Destruction of 12-inch diameter well.
Copies of the well permits are included in Appendix B.
5.0. SOIL PROFILE
An OWTS Permit was issued for the property by the EHD on 13 November 2020 to
perform a percolation test (Appendix C). On 23 November 2020, a 4-inch diameter hand
auger was utilized to advance a percolation test hole to 42 inches below surface grade
(bsg), in the proposed septic system disposal field area (sump).
A plan of the specific site features including the percolation test hole locations
(i.e., structures, drives, wells, septic systems, large trees, pastures, pools, natural
drainage courses, ponds, waterways, etc.) is illustrated in Figures 2 through 4.
5.1. SOIL PROFILE PIT INCLUDING DEPTH AND DIMENSIONS
The percolation test hole was located in the disposal field area of the proposed sump to
be added to the existing septic system. The percolation test hole was advanced to a depth
of 42 inches bsg using a four-inch diameter hand auger (Figure 2).
