Because of the percolation rate between 5.0 and 30.0 min/in encountered in the
northern test hole (P1), the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department will
require an 8-foot separation from the bottom of the dispersal system to ground water,
unless mitigated by system design or enhancement. Because of the percolation rate
between 1.0 and 5.0 min/in encountered in the southern test hole (P2), the San Joaquin
County Environmental Health Department will require a 20-foot separation from the
bottom of the dispersal system to ground water, unless mitigated by system design or
enhancement. Given the depth to ground water of approximately 43 to 51 feet beneath
the Site, no modifications to standard, shallow septic systems should be necessary.
Discussion of Septic System Sizing
Septic system construction utilizing leach lines, leach lines with sumps, or filter beds
should follow the San Joaquin County On-Site Wastewater Treatment Systems
Standards (2017) where applicable. No new construction is anticipated.
LOGE 2111 Page 8
