All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as"MAJOR"pose an immediate threat to public health <br /> and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations(Title 22)section 65545. <br /> #8 Pool and Deck Lighting <br /> OBSERVATIONS:one light in the pool is not functioning. Repair prior to opening the pool. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Pools used at night shall be equipped with underwater light fixtures that provide complete illumination of the <br /> pool. When a pool is used at night,pool deck and emergency egress areas shall be provided with lighting. If underwater or deck lighting is <br /> not operational, the pool operator shall post a sign in 4-inch letters stating"NO USE OF POOL ALLOWED AFTER DARK"and shall <br /> secure the pool area and not permit any use of the pool after dark. (31158) <br /> #25 Spa Emergency Shut Off Switch <br /> OBSERVATIONS:Unable to test the emergency shut off because the jets would not come on. Repair prior to opening the <br /> pool. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:A clearly labeled emergency shut off switch for both the spa recirculation and jet/aeration systems shall be <br /> installed adjacent to the spa pool. (CBC 31388) <br /> #32 Chemical Control and Monitoring System <br /> OBSERVATIONS:The spa chemical monitoring system not functioning. The flow switch. Repair prior to opening the pool. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Chemical feeders shall be constructed with an adjustable output rate device controlled by an approved <br /> automatic chemical monitoring and control system that regulates at minimum pH and disinfectant. Chemical feeders shall be constructed <br /> and installed to prevent uncontrolled discharge or siphoning of chemicals and fumes directly into the pool,recirculation system,pool area, <br /> or ancillary facilities. (CBC 31338) <br /> #36 Pressure and Vacuum Gauges <br /> OBSERVATIONS:Vacuum gauges not install on the pumps. Install prior to opening the pool. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Pressure and vacuum gauges shall be provided for each pump system.
