All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as"MAJOR"pose an immediate threat to public health <br /> and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations(Title 22)section 65545. <br /> #10 Disinfectant Residual <br /> OBSERVATIONS:Free chlorine in the spa is at.5 ppm.Adjust the free chlorine to 3 ppm to 10 ppm. Correct prior to <br /> opening the spa. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Public pools, when open or in use,shall be disinfected continuously by approved chemicals and shall maintain <br /> the following concentrations: 1.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine without cyanuric acid, 2.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine with cyanuric acid <br /> or 2.0 ppm bromine. Spas, wading pools,and spray grounds shall maintain the following concentrations:3.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free <br /> chlorine or 4.0 ppm bromine. (CCR 65529) <br /> #31 Disinfectant Feeders <br /> OBSERVATIONS:Feeders are not connected. Call this department for verification. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Each pool shall be provided with a system capable of continuous disinfection of the pool water. (CBC 31238) <br /> Disinfectant feeders shall be capable of supplying not less than the equivalent of 3 pounds of 100 percent available chlorine per day per <br /> 10,000 gallons of pool water. (CBC 31348) <br /> #32 Chemical Control and Monitoring System <br /> OBSERVATIONS:Chemical control and monitoring system are not connected. Call when they are connected for verification <br /> from this department. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Chemical feeders shall be constructed with an adjustable output rate device controlled by an approved <br /> automatic chemical monitoring and control system that regulates at minimum pH and disinfectant. Chemical feeders shall be constructed <br /> and installed to prevent uncontrolled discharge or siphoning of chemicals and fumes directly into the pool,recirculation system,pool area, <br /> or ancillary facilities. (CBC 31338) <br /> #35 Flow Meters <br /> OBSERVATIONS:Spa flow meter may not be operating properly.
