The County is planning to construct the closure test <br />pad on March 27, 1995. The clay barrier layer will be <br />constructed in one 12 -inch lift, similar to the closure of the <br />Harney Lane Sanitary Landfill. Soil (including clay) for the <br />test pad will be imported from Granite Construction's nearby <br />gravel pits. The soil will be mixed and moisture conditioned by <br />Griffin Soil (the same contractor as Harney Lane) and compacted <br />by County personnel. <br />Soil mixing will begin at approximately 9:00 a.m. on <br />Please try to attend or have a representative attend <br />the construction.
