Box 1810 <br />Stockton, California 95201 <br />Subject: Completeness Review of Final Closure and Postclosure <br />Maintenance Plans, corral Hollow Sanitary Landfill, <br />San Joaquin County, Facility No. 39 -AA -0005 <br />Dear Mr. Horton: <br />On February 17, 1993, the California Integrated Waste Management <br />Board (Board) received two copies of the Final Closure and <br />Postclosure Maintenance Plans, Corral Hollow Landfill, San <br />Joaquin County, dated November 1992. <br />Board staff have completed a completeness review and have deemed <br />the above plans incomplete and rejected for filing. The <br />following issues must be resolved prior to Board staff deeming <br />the plans complete and accepted for filing: <br />1. The design for the landfill gas monitoring system must be, <br />included in the closure plan. <br />2. The side.slopes final configuration is understood to be ' 2:1 <br />(horizontal to vertical). In order to review the final <br />configuration adequately, the slope stability analysis for <br />the slope must be included in the closure plan. <br />3. There is no mention of decontamination of existing <br />structures as they are being dismantled for re -use <br />elsewhere. Please include a decontamination protocol suited <br />to the level of exposure for each existing structure. <br />4. , Please include a summary of the existing landfill gas data <br />analysis. <br />5. What is the source of the final cover vegetative layer? <br />6. No documentation indicating that the initiation of the <br />California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) has been <br />submitted. Please refer to Section 18270, Article 3.4, <br />Chapter 5, Division 7, Title 14 of the California Code of <br />Regulations (CCR) for assistance. <br />-- Printed on Recycled Paper -- <br />
