The County initially <br /> responded to your letter on March 5, 1997 and a follow-up memo in <br /> May 1997. In our telephone conversations, you expressed a desire <br /> to assess the composition of the migrating landfill gas before <br /> making a decision on corrective action. In response, the County <br /> plans to hire a consultant to obtain a sample from the highest- <br /> producing monitoring well and test for the standard 10 Solid <br /> Waste Assessment Test (SWAT) constituents as listed below: <br /> 1 . Vinyl Chloride <br /> 2 . Benzene <br /> 3 . Ethylene Dibromide <br /> 4 . 1,2-dichloroethane <br /> 5. Methylene Chloride <br /> 6. Tetrachloroethylene <br /> 7.
