Monitoring Report Compliance Chec ist 5
Discharges Regulated by Title 27 and/or Part 258
program was a closure cap and installation of a gas collection system(active flare). The system does not remediate
inorganics in groundwater; therefore,it is applicable to develop concentration limits for inorganics in MW-5. The
County is required to submit concentration limits for inorganic constituents in subsequent reports.
Data show that MW-5 is being impacted with leachate from the unlined landfill as inorganics, as well as VOCs. SB-1
shows increasing concentrations of nitrate and decreasing trend in pH(acidic),which is usually caused from landfill
leachate. The report states that SB-1 is upgradient, yet it is on the edge of the landfill. An evaluation of the changes in
SB-1 and MW-4 are proposed to be submitted in a separate report. No date was suggested by the County.
Figure 2 and 3 show SB-1 within the landfill limits. Please adjust these maps to show the correct location of SB-I.
P CRWQCB Staff Signature:
Date:
