Probes at Corral Hollow Page 1 of 1
Frank Girardi [EH]
From: Robert McClellon [EH]
Sent: Monday, September 27, 2004 11:43 AM
To: 'Michael Carroll'
Cc: Frank Girardi [EH]
Subject: RE: Probes at Corral Hollow
Mike, the EHD would like to be present when the probes are checked. I am not sure that the slow producing
probes are producing anything. Please let us know when SCS or SWD is onsite to test those probes. Is there a
way to test flow rate and negative pressure at the same time. I think this will provide more information regarding
well condition. Thanks Robert
-----Original Message-----
From: Michael Carroll [mailto:mcarroll@co.san joaquin.ca.us]
Sent: Wednesday, September 22, 2004 9:23 AM
To: Michael Kith [EH]
Cc: Annette Borges; 'Art]ones'; Robert McClellon [EH]
Subject: Probes at Corral Hollow
Good morning Mike,
I checked our records, and It turns out that two of the probes you suspected as being plugged (GW-1 and -
6)were also questioned last year. We checked them out then, and found that they were not obstructed,
but were"slow producers You will probably find a letter from me to Robert dated August 8, 2003,
reporting the results of that investigation. Apparently their condition has not changed since last year,
leading to the same question as last year, but we believe that these probes remain satisfactory.
GW-2 had not been checked out previously, so I will ask SCS to check those probes to make sure that
they are also working. I will also ask SCS to fix the probe top at GW-6-Deep as identified in your Facility
Inspection Report.
I hope this addresses your concerns, but please call with any questions.
Regards,
Mike Carroll
W.
