In summary, we propose to dig across the road and drainage
ditch on the east side of the landfill to determine if refuse lies outside of the closure cap, especially
beneath the drainage ditch. Last year's geophysical investigation yielded results that were not
conclusive, but the apparent continuing trends at MW-4 and-5 prompt us to take a more invasive
look. We also propose to sample standing water in the creek to see how much contribution may
be made by runoff from the cattle grazing fields to the south.
If you have any questions, please call me at(209)468-8504.
Sincerely,
W.
