Do not click links or open attachments unless you recognize the
sender and know the content is safe.

Jason,

The used oil filters are containerized in a 55-gallon drum, labeled, and disposed of. I’m not certain if they have been
picked up as of yet, but should be with the next scheduled waste pickup. It was my understanding that the drum in your
picture was reused for hazardous waste. One drum looks like the next so I can’t comment on the specific hazardous
waste was used, but would guess it is oil filters or used absorbent.

Regards,

Andy

From: Gaitan, Jason [EHD] <jgaitan@sjgov.org>
Sent: Thursday, March 25, 2021 2:15 PM
To: Burgin, Andy C (Fresno) USA <andy.burgin@lehighhanson.com>; Zuniga JR, Roy (Lathrop) USA
<Roy.Zuniga@lehighhanson.com>
Subject: RE: PR0540641-Hazardous waste inspection
Importance: High

Hi Andy,

Thank you for the photo.
I have a couple of follow up questions:

-how were the oil filters within container managed? Did you dispose of them, are they still on site?
-Will this containers still be used to hold used oil filters?

-Regarding the other open violation (photo provided on email).
Your response stated that the container formerly held grease, the liner was disposed of. Can you provide a response on
how the container will be used from now on? Is it going to be used for another hazardous waste or is it going to be
disposed of or another option?

Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Jason Gaitan
REHS
San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department
(209) 616-3036-Office
(209) 468-3433- Fax
